Journey has been using SolComp for ten years, and I can still say that I have not seen a more intuitive program when it comes to wellbores. We are able to have a database that contains all our operated/licensed wellbores, and those wellbores correctly link the associated UWIs and make it possible to record information on both an event and a wellbore level. SolComp has greatly assisted Journey in catching up on its regulatory compliance deadlines, and maintain a more manageable program. The reports are easy to run, and documents can be forwarded to the field for follow-up on outstanding issues. Journey has this program linked to its production and reclamation programs, so all users can go directly to SolComp to determine current information for a well. Any concerns or questions that we have encountered with SolComp have been immediately answered and rectified when necessary. I can recommend that anyone who has an opportunity to utilize this program won’t be disappointed.

For over 10 years I have used the Solstice SolComp compliance database system. My main use was for managing pipeline and facility decommissioning projects for a large oil and gas company. SolComp has proved to be an excellent project management tool that makes it easy for identifying, tracking, scheduling and documenting this type of work. The various reports that you can run such as "pipelines that may require a status change or a license transfer" are invaluable when managing inactive pipeline compliance inventory. The time savings and overall quality of these reports is remarkable. I also use SolComp for other compliance related work including tracking and managing SCVF and Packer Isolation testing as well as End-of-Life liability cost estimating for budgeting, regulatory or accounting purposes. Again, SolComp is very efficient and easy to use for these tasks. I highly recommend the SolComp system!

It is the most cost-effective way I have found to manage this data. Clint provides a good service which is important to any service provider. I would recommend the product.

Daylight inherited SolComp from Highpine in 2010 and while deciding whether to continue the agreement we received an audit on a Highpine well from the ERCB. I was able to respond to the ERCB the same day with a surface compliance report including attached photographs and quickly found that I was very pleased with the audit trail SolComp provided. We have been using SolComp ever since and have been very happy with how it manages our Directive 13, SCVF testing, packer testing programs as well as our overall regulatory compliance initiatives. I would strongly recommend using SolComp to manage your regulatory compliance work.

I have worked on a large number of acquisition evaluations in my career and there is nothing that is remotely close to Solstice when it comes to identifying the true liabilities of a property. All you need to get started is a well UWI list with the working interests. Solstice reporting is incredibly fast considering the amount of data examined, analyzed and reported. When conducting acquisition evaluations, we have cross checked Solstice reports with work done by other specialists and have reached the point where very little data vetting is required once we have the Solstice reports. Solstice reporting has prevented our company from buying environmental disasters and from paying too much for properties. Getting the right information quickly is critical.

Solstice provided a very efficient and accurate assessment of liability. In addition to understanding liability of the acquired assets, the reports generated by Solstice were also very helpful as supporting documentation for insurance applications, as well as for environment disclosure for financing purposes.

The Solstice liability assessments have helped us close the gap when closing in on acquisitions as the information provided is so detailed the seller cannot argue with its content. I would not consider making an offer on an acquisition without first requesting the Solstice reports for two reasons: 1. they help us decide whether or not we should consider making an offer on an aging asset, and 2. they help us provide justification when coming in lower than the seller. It has also helped us with divestitures in that we can quickly assess the liability before putting the asset up for sale. I strongly recommend using these evaluations.

Provides incredible amounts of information quickly and accurately and all you need to do is provide a well list and associated working interests. It really does force upper management to consider liability issues as problem assets stick out like a sore thumb.
